A mosasaur has been on display at the Perot Museum in Dallas since 1979. Researchers studied it for decades. They thought they knew what it was. They were wrong. It's an entirely new species — 43 feet long, serrated teeth, and bite scars that prove it was fighting things its own size. They named it Tylosaurus Rex.
