August 7th. The Pentagon dropped PURSUE Release 5 — 41 new files live on war.gov/ufo. Jake pulled it up on screen and they went through it together. Five sources this time: Pentagon, FBI, CIA, State Department, and for the first time since the program launched in May, the Executive Office of the President itself is listed as a named source in a UAP record release. The files span from 1950 all the way to cases from this year. Every single one is labeled unresolved. Among the standouts: a military pilot's written account of a silent 500-foot equilateral triangle over Bagram in 2002 that blocked out the stars. A 2021 AC-130 gunship crew tracking about 25 cold orbs in formation — cold objects, not hot — at speeds up to 1,300 miles per hour, that appeared to respond when the aircraft fired its main gun. And fresh infrared footage from the western United States from this year that the Pentagon cannot explain. More releases are already being prepared.
