Size alone isn't what makes Tylosaurus Rex significant. What makes it significant is the violence written directly into the fossils. Healed bite wounds. Serrated teeth built for ripping. Jaw muscles adapted for exceptional force. And more than a dozen specimens of this animal were sitting mislabeled in museum collections across the country the entire time. The discovery didn't require a new dig site — just someone willing to look more carefully at what was already there.
