Exeter, New Hampshire. September 3rd, 1965. An 18-year-old, two cops, and a town that refused to be silenced. The case so credible, the Pentagon blinked.

Norman Muscarello, 18, hitchhiking Route 150 at 2 AM. Massive silent object with pulsing blood-red lights drifts at him. Dives into ditch. No sound. Five rotating red lights.

Officer Eugene Bertrand (Korean War Air Force vet, aerial refueling) takes him back. Horses scream. Dogs howl. Object rises above trees bathing everything in red light. Bertrand's hand drops to his .38. "My God. I see the damn thing myself."

Officer Hunt arrives. All three watch impossible maneuvers: dead stops, 90-degree turns, silent hovering. Hunt watches B-47 cross same sky: "There was no comparison."

Air Force: Operation Big Blast (B-47 bombers). Bertrand rejected it. He refueled aircraft for years. B-47s can't hover, can't turn 90 degrees, make massive noise. This was silent.

Officers launched Pentagon letter campaign. February 9th, 1966: Air Force officially retracts identification. Case status: UNIDENTIFIED.

Other witnesses that night:
• 1:30 AM: Woman followed 12 miles by silent object, found trembling
• 3 AM: Hampton man calls frantic about flying saucer, line goes dead, never heard from again
• Ron Smith, Mrs. Pearce, dozens more across region

John Fuller mapped sightings. Pattern: objects followed 345,000-volt power grid, hovering above transmission towers.

November 9th, 1965: Great Northeast Blackout. Glowing objects near transmission lines during failure.

Sixty years later: Nobody's explained it. File stayed open.
