On December 17, 1989 the very first full length 30 minute episode of The Simpsons aired on the Fox Television Network and the animated sitcom about a dysfunctional American family never looked back. At the time of this recording, there are 703 episodes spanning 32 seasons of hilarious antics that many people have enjoyed over the last 32 years. But, what if there is more to the story? Over the years, the show has predicted an unprecedented amount of historical events and technologies down to the tiniest of details. Leading many to think of the show or it’s creators as time travelers or as some have called them “Prophets”. Today we dive into a few of these predictions and determine between ourselves if we believe that Matt Groening is from another time in history or if these are simply lucky guesses.
